As time has now gone by, my modeling for the Superhero Costume is close to its finish. Now at this point there are two things I'm doing to complete this model. Making adjustments according to the Director's notes. Making the outfit as bulky as possible. The other thing is modeling the smaller things on the outfit, that includes the tie, the boot straps, the buckles, and the coat buttons. In a way this part feels harder because I'm moving on from general shaping and starting to go deeper in the design, shaping it out vertex by vertex. What makes this complicated is trying to keep all the model pieces in quads. Our teacher, Raymond Wong, tells us this is most important in modeling especially in smoothing. Otherwise, anything like a triangle or other confuses the webbing of the model, something resulting in sharp edges.
